NAVAL, Biliran – A wanted person who has been fugitive for 23 years was accidentally arrested by Naval cops in Brgy. Smo. Rosario, Tuesday, August 14.
Arrested was a certain Alfredo Delima, alias Fredo, 56 years old, sikad-sikad driver, and a resident of Brgy. Sto. Nino in Naval, Biliran.
Delima was charged with murder for the alleged killing of a certain Carlito Piad in Pinangumhan, Biliran in 1995.
His refusal to take a cop for a ride in his sikad-sikad led to his arrest after he was positively identified during his interrogation by Naval Chief of Police Estanislao Corpin at the police station.
Corpin said that the case of Delima, Masas, and Navarro was a known murder case in 1995. – BiliranIsland.com
