A follow-up operation in order to track down a possible suspect or suspects in the killing of one Sherwin Amistoso Carba was now conducted by the personnel of the Naval Police Station.
Carba, 30 years old, married, tricycle driver and a resident of Sitio Riverside in Barangay Caray-Caray, Naval, Biliran was shot at around 10:20 in the evening on Tuesday, January 8.
According to the initial investigation of PNP-Naval, the victim was having a drinking session at the house of Danilo Pacatang, one of his neighbors.
The victim after enjoying their drinking spree with Pacatang decided to go home and upon reaching infront of his house was shot several times by unidentified suspect.
The victim sustained several gunshot wounds on his body and immediately rushed to the Biliran Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician.
Police officers who responded to the crime scene were able to recover six (6) pcs. of fired shells of Cal.45, five (5) pcs. of fired slugs of 9MM pistol and three (3) pcs. of fired slugs of Cal. 45.
P/CInsp. Renencio L. Raquipo, who just assumed as chief of police of Naval Police Station on January 8, 2013, said that PNP-Naval has requested for ballistic examination on the recovered fired shells and slugs in the crime scene to trace the owner or owners of the gun used in the shooting of Carba.
