Biliran, Biliran — The reported No. 5 in the drugs watch list in the Province of Biliran was apprehended during a buy bust by joint forces of the PDEA Biliran Field Unit and the local police here about 12:50 in the afternoon on Tuesday (May 26) at Brgy. Hugpa here.
Biliran Chief of Police Captain Romeo Q. Sudario identified the suspect as Ijun Renola y Bolotsoy, 39, carpenter tagged as the No. 5 in the drug watch list of the Province of Biliran and a resident of the said barangay.
Recovered from his possession was one plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by a poseur buyer agent in the amount of P500. During body search in front of barangay officials and media the searching personnel recovered the P500 bill with serial number AY180260 which was used in the buy bust operation.
The suspect in an interview with local media denied owning the illegal drugs recovered from him, He said he lived a simple life with his family and him as a carpenter.
Charges of Violation of Sec (5) selling illegal drugs of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 is being readied by the arresting officers against the suspect who is temporarily languishing at the lock up cell of the Biliran Municipal Police station.
