Iceland Drilling Rig and Equipment for Biliran Geothermal Project in Caibiran arrived last 20 August 2013 at Pinamihagan, Culaba port area. They are slowly being transported from the causeway to the project site at Brgy. Pulang Yuta, Caibiran, Biliran in preparation for the drilling activity escorted by BGI Health, Safety, Traffic and Emergency Response team as well as the Caibiran, Culaba and Provincial Police Force. The mobilization is likewise assisted by BILECO technical team to ensure that it is unhampered by any of its electrical connection.
Estimated to complete the mobilization in three weeks, road detour in Kaulanguhan bridge is now being worked out 24hours a day.
BGI is constructing a detour bridge next to Kaulanguhan Bridge in Caibiran, to transport their heavy drilling materials and equipment.
After coordination with concerned government agencies and neighboring barangays, mobilization on the drill equipments and rigs has began with SAFETY FIRST precautions as the main aim to the neighboring communities and pedestrians. Photo by Jalmz
