NAVAL, Biliran – With Biliran Electric Cooperative (BILECO), Incorporated member-consumers’ long wait for power restoration in Biliran province, today may be their much awaited day.
In a mobile phone interview with Engr. Gerardo Oledan, Technical Manager for Engineering of BILECO, he said that as per information from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) crew working along Lemon-Biliran lines, they will try to energize the 69kv Lemon-Biliran lines today.
If electric power from NGCP becomes available today, BILECO is prepared to receive power to supply the main backbones to the seven municipalities of Biliran, Naval. Almeria, Kawayan, Culaba, Caibiran, and Cabucgayan.
Engr. Oldean added that some barangays especially those along the highway may also be provided with the power supply if there are no problems with their electrical lines and connections.
In a separate interview with Marlon Roa, General Manager of Biliran Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BILECO), advised all member-consumers to have their electric lines after the meter going to their household connections checked by accredited electricians in preparation for the restoration of electric power supply in the province of Biliran to avoid possible sparks or fire. # (PAI 8 Biliran)
