Majority of the members unanimously chose Engr. Ferdinand Morillo, former OFW and owner of D’Mei Residence Inn, for his ability in management and visualizing things as practically seen in his success at a very young age.

True to everyone’s expectations, Engr. Morillo, who for the first time joined in planning the town’s fiesta affairs, gave guidelines on choosing fiesta activities.

His guidelines require activities that people can enjoy, people can participate, people can earn, people can share, activities that are not so costly, and activities that the Execom can do in so short a time noting that the affair is about two months away.

Realizing the recent devastation of Typhoon Yolanda in the town of Naval, Fiscal Edna Pitao-Honor, vice chair and the members of the Fiesta Execom suggested to minimize so much solicitation and suggested to use part of the municipality’s cultural fund as activities start from Pueblo Day on September 26 until the feast day.

Most of the activities were already identified and assigned to agencies and persons concerned.

Engr. Morillo expressed hopes for the cooperation and support of the members of the Execom, agencies and persons concerned, as well as the community for a successful fiesta celebration. He requested the Execom to heed to his call every time he needs them. # (PIA 8 Biliran)
