THE Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) is spending P60.35 million to develop
three gateways around the Philippines to further promote trade and tourism.
In separate bid documents, the agency said it is inviting interested parties to vie for the P48.70-million contract for the continuation of the rehabilitation of the Lupon Port in Davao Oriental.
It entails the extension of the pier, the construction of a seawall and the expansion of the backup area. The agency is also auctioning off the P6.63-million deal to construct a drainage canal and an access road at the Vigan Airport in Ilocos Sur. Parties may also vie for the P5.02-million contract to widen the causeway of the Kawayan Seaport in Biliran.
The prebid conference for these projects is scheduled on October 21, while the deadline of submission of bids is set on November 4.
