NSU marching band bags first runner up place in Bohol’s 2015 Alturas drum & bugle corps showdown

NAVAL, Biliran – The Naval State University (NSU) marching band got another prestigious award in marching band competition, and this time in the 2015 Alturas marching band showdown in Bohol province.

Alturas is dubbed as the”greatest show in town” in Bohol province which pits the best and the finest drums corps in Visayas and Mindanao.

Marching band contingents coming from General Santos City, Zamboanga del Norte, Davao, Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City and those coming from the provinces of Biliran and Leyte have already participated in one of the most awaited events of the year in Bohol province.

This year’s Alturas marching band showdown, which is the 30th anniversary of the marching band competition, was held on November 21, 2015 at the CPG Sports Complex Tagbilaran CIty in Bohol province.

The NSU marching band received P70,000 cash prize plus trophy for winning as the first runner up.

NSU marching band also got the following awards: best in Alturas jingle, best in entertainment, Miss Alturas Showdown 2015 (Shienna Ann A. Paral)
