A fire in Sitio Laka, Brgy. Smo. Rosario in Naval razed 18 houses home to 36 families. It started around 7 a.m. and was caused by a child playing with a cigarette lighter. The fire has been controlled.
No casualties have been reported.
Initial assessment of fire damage estimated at more than P630,000. Fire trucks from Naval, Kawayan and Biliran helped put out the fire.
LGU Naval provided 200 packs of food for the fire victims and put up tents for them in Sitio Laka.
