Naval, Biliran— A newly identified drug peddler was the latest accomplishment of the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the local police in their drive against illegal drugs during a successful buy-bust operation at about 3:38 in the afternoon on Friday, November 10, in Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Larrazabal, of this capital town of the Province of Biliran.
Naval COP Police Major Chamberline Ludevise identified the arrested suspect as Judy Carlobos, a.k.a. Indoy, 53, a married dispatcher and resident of Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Larrazabal, here. The suspect is described as a street-level individual on their drug watch list.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect was one green plastic straw containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, procured by an operative in the amount of P1000. During the conduct of a body search done in the presence of an elected barangay official and a representative of the National Prosecutors, the searching cop recovered one P1000 bill bearing serial number FV733725, which is court-subscribed money intended for the operation.
Charges of violation of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002, are being readied against the suspect, who is temporarily detained at the locked-up cell of the Naval MPS.
