Almeria, Biliran— Operatives of the Naval MPS, together with the Biliran Province Police Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit, CIDG Biliran PFU and the local police have apprehended a man wanted for murder about 1:55 in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 14, in Brgy. Caucab of this municipality.
Police identified the accused as Johnrey Relantago, a.k.a. Johnrey Casio Colita, legal age, and a resident of the said barangay.
The arrest made was by virtue of a warrant of arrest dated August 31, 2016, issued by Hon. Tita Bughao Alisuag, Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 1, National Capital Region Judicial Branch, Manila, for the crime of murder under Criminal Case No. 16-325341 with a recommended bail of Php 200,000.00. The arrest was in relation to a crime he committed in Metro Manila some seven years ago while he was in the NCR. But operatives from the Station 3 of Manila Police District have visited the Naval MPS showing them the warrant of arrest of the accused who was learned to have hid here sometime.
The accused was appraised of his Constitutional Rights through the Miranda Doctrine in a language that he understands.
Arrested person was brought to Naval MPS for documentation and proper disposition before he will be brought back to the issuing court.
