MANILA – A Magnitude 5 earthquake stuck off Biliran on Saturday and was felt in parts of central and eastern Visayas, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Intensity 5 was felt in the municipalities of Naval and Almeria in Biliran and Leyte town in Leyte province, Phivolcs said in a statement.
Intensity 4 was felt in Tolosa, Leyte, intensity 3 in Mandaue City and intensity 2 in the cities of Cebu and Masbate, Philvolcs said.
Phivolcs said it was not expecting any damage but warned the public against aftershocks.
